The Solarpunk Narrative Reaches its Zenith, Revealing Dark Side of the Cycle
All plans eventually fail when confronted with reality for a sufficient length of time, just as everyone has a plan until they are punched in the mouth, according to Mike Tyson, who is certainly qualified to make such generalizations. This is called ‘Duhkha’ in Buddhism. In addition to this, the universe responds to destruction, aggression and killing in counter-intuitive ways. Mother Nature and complex systems in general exhibit anti-fragile and synergistic properties that cannot be predicted from the sum of their parts, or even lack of tangible, measurable parts. This is called ‘Pratītyasamutpāda’ and ‘Karma’ in Buddhism. It is also true that truth manifests at different levels according to the refinement of our understanding and inner qualities, or the principle of ‘Prajñā’ according to Buddhism.
This concept is also at the heart of the value proposition of engineering institutions and the status that they confer to their members: the monarch, ordained by God, confers a charter such that the laws of the universe are harnessed in accordance with a moral framework that pays due respect to our neighbors and nature, to ensure that progress takes place in a balanced way whereby everyone and nature benefit to a lesser or greater degree, and thus measured growth and progress manifest as real growth and progress.
Secular atheists, communists, crypto bros, Big Tech and so forth might scoff at such old fashioned and ‘quaint’ value systems. But we also must consider a chicken and egg problem here in that if a tree falls in the woods with no one to hear it, does it makes a sound? The answer is no, because a sound is heard. Likewise if an amoral society self-destructs, there are no mortals left to proclaim that there is no God and thus the point is moot.
Likewise if the concept of God, or collective purpose, is co-opted by one group to oppress another group via asymmetric knowledge, then we find ourselves back in the age of The Wars of the Three Bishops floundering to justify the concepts of citizenship, literacy and education as universal secular concepts. Engineers exist such that Thames Water in its current form should not, yet somehow the English keeping forgetting that part when they borrow all Scotland’s ideas and rebrand them as their own: like Adam Smith, Thermodynamics and commercial banking as we know it today.
It is said that realized Buddhas are omniscient and able to encompass all of time and space and all karma of all past, present and future lives within their vast awareness. Thus I must defer to my betters in order to set the scene with respect to the current thing in the current year.

Unfortunately, the law hasn’t kept pace with technology, and this disconnect has created a significant public safety problem. We call it "Going Dark"

DarkFi’s Lunarpunk Manifesto is both refreshingly clear and brutally uncompromising with respect to cypherpunk agorist principles and that particular vision for cryptocurrency networks. I do not personally buy into all of it, but I do view their technology as both necessary and inevitable, and, having taken time to get to know those involved via their DarkIRC chat application, which was recently released in noob format, consider their Manifesto to be an honest, forthright and transparent distillation of their worldview and conceptual engineering intent, which is being carried both in good faith and with the right intention.
Its necessity, from an engineering perspective, should be viewed as similar to that of a fire extinguisher or a lifeboat. Whistleblowers and material witnesses, who perform an essential public good, especially in the technology and engineering industries, are being murdered. From Nikolai Mushegian, DeFi and stablecoin pioneer, to Suchir Balaji, who exposed the egregious theft of intellectual and creative property carried out to train artificial intelligence, and thus prop up the American stock market; from Jeffrey Epstein, who knew too much about everyone in the technology industry, to John Barnett, who was just trying to do his job at Boeing according to the law, the memo from the top brass is clear: the show must go on at all costs.
DarkFi’s inevitability can be viewed through the lens of pure capitalistic differential advantage. Those creating assassination markets for whistleblowers are obviously doing so in secret, and obviously spending a great deal of money and resources to keep their secrets. Those interests already employ legions of talented and bright computer scientists, mathematicians, cryptographers and distributed systems and blockchain technology experts. The bleeding edge technology being utilized by DarkFi, much of which has only become commercially available in this decade, is capable of both lowering cost and increasing scale in this Hobbesian war of anarcho-accumulation, and thus will be employed either by us or to us.
Having been subjected to at least five deliberate poisonings and ‘series of unfortunate events’, at least two of which were attempted murder, in addition to the blackballing, the besieging, the dirty tricks, theft, fraud and so forth, I can strongly recommend, from vast lengthy experience, that if you don’t tool up for the mission you’re gonna have a bad time i.e. probably die. DarkFi is part of that tooling whether we like it or not. I disagree with the cypherpunk agorist crowd just the same as I disagree with most other people, but the only thing for certain is that innovation is messy and that transparency, robust debate and the ability to modify and build as we see fit, all of which DarkFi include from concept, are what identifies and mitigates the dangers and what picks up the litter. This is a debate and that’s already started and I will likely elucidate upon in a future post, with respect to both Dan Robles’ Innovation Bank and my own Romeo-Juliet Framework: the gist of it being something like Assange DAO but as a professional insurance product for any professional, or citizen, who deals with and interacts with material risks; with better governance and tokenomics, as part of a modern day professional socio-economic survival kit.

The Solarpunk Zenith
The same Patagonia vested pod people from Silicon Valley who ratted out and basically killed JStark, the inventor of the FGC-9 3D printed assault rifle, are now rolling out Tether on the Bitcoin Lightning Network. A better way to handle this, as I alluded to in my Romeo-Juliet framework lectures in late 2020 and early 2021, might have been to persuade Mr JStark to teach the World Economic Forum and the WHO how to make 3D printed ventilators for CoVid patients, or some other more pro-social and constructive additive modular manufacturing endeavour that was not guns. But alas in killing him, adding him to the long list of unfortunate casualties and terrible accidents (including those caused by Boeing, another expert in additive manufacturing), those people tasked with having our best interests at heart showed themselves for what they are, again.

Big respect to Amazing Polly for mapping out the dialectics of the Thiel Bux takeover and Elon Musk’s undue influence and overreach, as I mapped out originally in late 2020 and early 2021.
Also big respect to Mike Gill for staying the course and Stacy Qrash for supporting him, because without these Titans, these megalithic monuments of character and integrity, it would be very difficult to navigate both the desert and the forest.
In terms of unpacking the mess of the ‘Q Movement’ and ‘trusting the plan’
is doing some great work on his Rumble platform. His investigations around the intersection of Keybase and the ‘Q Boards’ as it was also a platform that directed a lot of Bitcoin and Ethereum activity in the 2010s is something I look forward to hearing more of.The new home of the Mike Gill evidence vault is here for the time being. To cut a long story short Akord got the call, and became Tusky with a SUI back end. An Akord-Arweave sunset app is planned for later this year, but given that this all happened around the same time as Michelle Moore gave the vault a shoutout and Michelle and I had a Zoom call, I don’t believe in coincidences any longer. Most of Mike and Michelle’s work together was saved and is now hosted on Odysee.
The Bitcoin Dollar
Recently on Xitter, 12 Ball, who runs the
publication here, has been highlighting the connections at the intersection of Brock Pierce, co-founder of Tether, whose prime custodian is Cantor Fitzgerald run by United States Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and lots of other things. ’s work has notably intersected with that of Whitney Webb and the rising star of the Unlimited Hangout scene, Mark Goodwin, author of the The Bitcoin Dollar. Their two articles ‘Chain of Issuance’ and ‘Breaking (Down) the Chain’ highlight all the usual sordid clusterfuck often referred to as American politics, but this time it has Bitcoin, so Max Keiser can microdose on LSD while macrodosing on cocaine, and that’s what makes ‘Have I Got News for You’ such a cornerstone of English sleekit bourgeois banality.And it’s with such droll underhanded quip that I save for only my most exclusive cocktail parties that I recommend
, because you have to go through it to know it’s true and Catherine Austin Fitts has.
The Freedom Of Ross Ulbricht
A great way to frame the Freedom of Ross Ulbricht is to compare his freedom to that of a Silicon Valley whistle blower or someone else who was entrapped by three letter agencies very early on, in Bitcoin’s infancy.
Luckily we have two very good and very recent examples of that.
The first is Suchir Balaji, who is dead, and the police said he killed himself but he clearly did not. So whatever happens to Suchir, no mortal will ever be able to pardon him from his current and future situation.
The second is Roger Ver and here are two pretty girls to distract you from the magic trick.
Having lost his final appeal against extradition for being either incredibly naive or believing that there is such a thing as not finding out after fucking about, Roger Ver appeared on Alex Jones, who also suffers from selective amnesia, which can probably also be repaired with a proper understanding of blockchain technology, to talk about how unfair life is, or something. There was lots of bootlicking and ring kissing for Elon and Donald, anyway, which is probably what he was advised to do by the very expensive experts in these things.
Roger’s current plight, again, links back to Aaron Day and New Hampshire in the 2010s, but I’ve already explained that at length and so has Aaron.
I wish Roger Ver all the very best, and I will pray that Aaron Day doesn’t sabotage his campaign and bug his office where he discusses all the legal stuff regarding all those charges and all those years, like Aaron did to the State of Corruption campaign in New Hampshire. If Aaron does that again, then I think Roger is going to have a bad time making his pitch in the marketplace of ideas, but at least maybe he’ll grow old in prison, which was never the intention in Mike’s case.
This brings us back to our protagonist Mr Ulbricht, who is now free. I am very happy for him, and I am especially happy for his mother and wife, who deserve their son, their husband, back. The main reason they deserve Ross back is not their love for him, their devotion to him and the relentless diligent effort that both made to get him back, it’s because Ross Ulbricht was entrapped by corrupt three letter agencies. One example is Katie Haun, who was educated at Stanford by Sam Bankman Fried’s parents. There are many others and I recommend perusing Truthlabs’ Xitter feed to unpack the scale of this clusterfuckery and how it ties into the subsequent FTX collapse and the Bitcoin Dollar.
Ross Ulbricht is free from prison, but while the agorists and cypherpunks proclaim this to be a victory, Ross Ulbricht is not allowed to have a fair trial and is not allowed to exonerate himself in a court of law. Additionally now making any attempt to do so would put Ross Ulbricht at odds with the aims and goals of, for example, the current and 9th Deputy Director of the CIA, as highlighted by both Amazing Polly and Unlimited Hangout.
This represents a peak, a zenith, of the Solarpunk philosophical arc at this current time. From an institutionally recognized engineering and insurance perspective, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency technology is only valuable in so much as it incorporates material facts in order to measure material risk and innovation to manage and overcome material risk, which is the basis of 80% of real economic growth. If it is not doing that in accordance with the ALARP principle and best reasonable efforts with time being of the essence and so on and so forth, then it is failing. Therefore let there be dark!
Voluntary Community Service
The Solarpunks must now pick up their litter in the heat of the mid day sun. The Bitcoin Dollar is not the actual currency, Blackmail is the currency. That’s why Suchir Balaji is dead. That’s why Roger Ver is fucked and being held hostage by at least one known operative who nearly got someone killed in a similar situation. That’s why Ross Ulbricht is declaring he’s so happy to be free not from the courtroom steps with his lawyer raising his hand for the paparazzi, but rather somberly and gingerly from some undisclosed location, while the culture vultures, who were never there, misrepresent and grift off his past, present and future situation.
This is why the Mike Gill Evidence Vault exists and also why I uploaded Whitney Webb’s One Nation Under Blackmail to the blockchain recently. Because we have this thing now, thanks to ‘China China China’, called Open Source AI on the blockchain. AO Computer main net launched in the last few hours, and it does a bunch of cool stuff, such as on chain RAG for digesting and distilling all sorts of complex information. That can happen out in the open now and those not moving in that direction are not solving the problem and will remain trapped in a Matrix of their own creation for as long as they refuse to face the music.
In the meantime it is the Lunarpunks who command the forest and the night and dance with fate in the charnel grounds.
Luigi: Divided Ideology
Luigi is a very popular meme on social media and very much of the current moment. Whenever stories of social murder or profit motivated withdrawal of essential health services are shared, Luigi will invariably now appear in the comments. Norm McDonald famously joked that ‘nobody actually listens to the Dali Lama’ but when the Dali Lama said ‘when someone is shooting at you with a gun (trying to kill you) it is reasonable to shoot back with your own gun (kill them in self defence)’ Luigi did listen. And Luigi has amassed quite a cult following beyond Marioworld, Mariokart, his Haunted Mansion and so forth, because he did actually listen.
This varied interpretation of the meaning of Luigi across cultures and across generations is at the heart of two very important principles: safety and justice, as well as reasonable expectations thereof. Because different distinct groups are experiencing these principles very differently according to their expectations, which then gives rise to misunderstanding and miscommunication.
Anyone who reads David Friedman, as free market libertarians and anarchists used to, will see there’s plenty of precedent set in the literature for Luigi taking the law into his own hands, and perhaps ten years ago would have been viewed as a ‘pro-Bitcoin’ figure, in the same way that JStark or Dread Pirate Roberts were. But now, given the background of AI in healthcare during CoVid, and the strategic objectives of either Howard Lutnick or Roger Ver or Calvin Ayre, Luigi is not and will never be.
This is important to understand, because it shows that the ideology has changed. The Monero game theory crowd might have a more interesting and nuanced view of it, but fundamentally the solarpunk ethos and telos have taken on a mutant chimeric quality that has nothing to do with mRNA nor CRISPR technology and everything to do with the push and pull of rents, taxes and ‘muh freedom’, that shape both outcomes and expectations.
The Divided Kingdom
Mark Fisher was right. Our mental health is defined by our needs being met according to our expectations. Ponzis and fraud therefore cause, prey upon and profit from mental illness. Given the still massive structural asymmetries in capitalism, and given how capital, since the banker bailouts, has subsumed government, the root cause of moral hazard underpinning the new Blairite social contract has not been resolved.
The tech bros now appear hell bent upon reinforcing and emulating its worst aspects. If an English engineering graduate wants to make a career out of preventing the raw shit in the rivers and beaches, he’s shit out of luck. No app nor parallel financial system can fix his problem, and the government and engineering institutions who are ultimately accountable, are both too weak and too directionless to uphold these basic expectations. That’s what the market is deciding in England right now, as a system of what knowledge, skills and investment is of value and what is not, in terms of what Thatcher said it was all supposed to be about.
This vision for the ‘Everything App’ and for AI integration is the new cradle to grave social safety net that’s sustainable for the neoliberal elite classes, and it is being implemented without a whisper of the dangers that those such as Tristan Harris, Jaron Lanier or Shoshana Zubov highlight. The English government, run by 50 people in the Treasury, want to put you in the gig work Poor House of relentless precarity and stress, with no respite, where being sick or injured is banned, where you’re not allowed to not shit in your own drinking water nor believe that any human agency might enable you not to, where the super-rich, internet influencers, tech bros and the like are given carte blanche to defraud you, and where, when you burn out from the heat of all the frenzied inertia of it all, they will kill you, and sell your parts for scrap to a biotech firm owned by Peter Thiel and JD Vance.
The Americans, via Palantir and the like, will do everything in their power to help them. Alex Karp, Palantir CEO, recently squirted in his y fronts and grinned like the chesire chat, in some sort of Portlandia meets Black Mirror mask off moment, at the prospect of ruining and then killing anyone who stands in America’s way. I recommend reading Unlimited Hangout and Mark Goodwin’s summary of the forces behind this company. Of course American foreign policy, especially pertaining to the CIA and technology approved by the CIA, has never been about American values, it has been about killing dissidents, blackmail, uprooting democracy, trafficking enormous volumes of weapons and illicit narcotics, terrorism and money laundering, and nothing whatsoever to do with what Boomers generally said it was ever about. If you believe that your life might be better if Americans fucked off back where they came from, Alex Karp has a face recognition kill drone solution with your name on it.
The Generational Divide
Everything about the beginning of 2025 lines up directly with the implosion of the former Boomer Truth Regime. The Boomers that are actually real deals are still holding their own, which is good as every society needs elders, but the ‘I’ve got mine’ Reagan Democrats, the MAGA MAHA Q-tards, the ‘pull yourselves up by your bootstraps with a firm handshake’ leadership gurus and the ‘I’m performing a valuable public service’ buy to let landlords all have the second foot firmly following the first into the grave, from whence they shall never return. This is good news, overall, as it opens up space for something other than Vivek Ramaswarmy telling us to be ashamed of having been children with childhoods that had flushing toilets and did not involve CIA sex slavery rings building startups to rescue US dollar hegemony nor selling fake Alzheimer’s medication to your granny to rinse her of her Medicaid and social security. The Bitcoin Dollar narrative that is currently unfolding puts every other one in its proper place, and this is positive in terms of de-Orwellianizing and detoxing from decades of Boomer copium addiction. The youth are not just waking up, they’re rising up and taking command of their own destinies, with new tools and new knowledge at their disposal that their elders deliberately kept from them and lied about.
The Geographical Divide
There’s no other way to say it other than straight up: Scotland and Wales are being deliberately down-skilled and asset stripped by the London establishment. This process was highlighted again this week with the closure of Grangemouth oil refinery. This leaves Scotland with one former ‘Oil Capital of Europe’ and one former oil refinery which now makes zero oil refineries. Westminster will not implement regional energy pricing, even though it would make energy cheaper everywhere in the UK, and thus Scotland, rather than having the cheapest energy in Europe has the most expensive energy in Europe, in addition to one former oil capital and one former oil refinery.
It’s the Value Proposition, Stupid
The writing is on the wall and DarkFi’s value proposition, and blockchain and cryptocurrency technology’s value proposition in general, should be clear in terms of both Welsh and Scottish independence. As well as reclaiming financial autonomy from the London Treasury and the Bank of England, Wales and Scotland can form meaningful political and economic organizations to achieve measurable goals, that bypass the gatekeepers, the talking heads, the intelligence network Nosey Parkers and reclaim what is rightfully ours, which is our land, our heritage, our self respect, our time and our destiny.
If Discord communities can make £billion currencies based on pictures of cartoon dogs and frogs, then Scotland and Wales with their vast natural resources, can create their own national currencies. There are risks, but they are worth taking.
Whether the path to financial sovereignty and autonomy begin as official national scale projects or as regional or local experiments that later cohere is a matter of strategy. Activism is no longer street theater while finance is shifting from a mode of power to an on demand utility delivered via an appliance. Whether the battle takes place in the desert or the forest, in the sun or under the moon, in the halls of power or in the streets, everyone has a part to play, and the curtain is only now being lifted for the greatest show on Spaceship Earth. What is inevitable will happen, the question is merely ‘by whom for what purpose?’.
